Alphabet Drawing Game

This idea is probably one of my favorites because once made, it can keep a child happily busy for hours. This idea challenges a child to be creative. Creativity needs to be encouraged and nurtured and often is a joy of learning.
You will need blank paper, black marker, and drawing utensils(crayons, markers, paints, or chalk).
- On a notebook size white paper, print a capital “A”. On a second sheet, print a lower case “a”. Continue writing each letter of the alphabet in the same manner. Depending on the age of the child, they can write the letters.
- Encourage a child to turn the paper in any direction and draw a picture using the letter in the picture.
- Keep the alphabet letters in a notebook for a child to take with him in the car for a trip or to work on before bedtime.
This can make a great family game. Each family member is given the same letter to make a picture. Each person draws without looking at the other papers. After the pictures are drawn, everyone shows their picture. Very interesting to see the outcomes of the drawing. |
